We are excited to announce our 2021-2022 after school programming! We have planned new programming while keeping some tried and true activities for our members. We are accepting applications for youth going into 1st grade through 12th grade.

    • What COVID-19 guidelines will be followed?
      • As of today, our intention is to return to an after school social recreation program without limitations on capacity or cohort groups. We will adjust our program to meet all of the current, CDC, NYS & Erie County DOH guidelines. 
    • What does a typical day look like?
      • Members will get dropped off or walk to the Club. Once there, members will be able to choose which activities they’d like to participate in. Members will be able to have a free snack we offer daily or purchase food from our Snack Shack.
    • If my members attended summer or 2020-2021 programming do I need to fill out another application?
      • Yes! Keeping our records up to date is important!
    • Do I need to fill out an application for each of my children?
      • Yes, applications have personalized information such as age and grades.
    • Is there homework help?
      • Yes, when your members sign up for “Power Hour”, offered daily, staff will be able to help them with their homework and projects.
    • Can I sign up for break weeks and special school days now?
      • As of right now, break week and special school day sign ups will be offered at the beginning of each month. Guardians will need to email Unit Director, Julia, to sign up. Break weeks are usually 8 am – 5 pm. We plan lots of activities for these days including themed days. Lunch is not provided. Be sure to send your member with a bagged lunch or money for the Snack Shack. We do need a certain number of members to sign up for these days. We will announce a week beforehand if we are open or closed. Follow us on Facebook or watch out for our emails.
    • Will you be open during half days?
      • We will be open for half days with no extra charge. Lunch will not be provided. Be sure to send your member with a bagged lunch or money for the Snack Shack.
    • I’m not receiving your emails, how can I make sure I’m staying updated?
      • To sign up for our emails, text code word “BGCELS” to 22828. Be sure to check your spam folder!
      • We love to put updates out on our Facebook, Boys & Girls Club of Eden – Lake Shore.
      • Every month we also hand out flyers during pick up time.
    • What does transportation look like for my Eden Member?
      • Members that attend the Jr./Sr. High School and GLP will be bussed to the Club. You will need to contact the transportation department for more information on arrangements. Members that attend the Eden Elementary school will be walked over with a staff member.
    • What does transportation look like for my Lake Shore member?
      • Members that attend all Lake Shore school district schools will be bussed to the Club. You will need to contact the transportation department for more information on arrangements.
